Brand : Makeup Revolution (Revolution Beauty London) Product : Midnight Unicorn Eyeshadow Palette CRUELTY FREE Binxcat's Musing:  On swatching (no primer) the top row - all shades - swatched well.  The bottom row, however, well, not so much.  In my wear testing, while I did use 3 shades from the top row (performed well) I also used 4 shades from the bottom row.  On application and wear, the two blue shades performed much better over primer.  Sadly, the same was not true for either the lightest green and the purple/violet.  Description:   Are you ready to transform into a magical Unicorn? Brand : Kat Von D Beauty Product : Fetish Blush + Highlighter Palette Shades :  Everlasting Blush in Bathory, Salem, Coven Metal Crush Extreme Highlighter in Roseshock, Telepathy, Magick CRUELTY FREE Binxcat's Musing:  The palette is made up of three blush shades (matte) and three highlighter shades (glitter metallic).  Each of the three blush shades swatched well as did the highlighter shades (no primer).  I am test wearing two of the blush shades (Bathory and Coven) and a highlighter shade (Telepathy) today.  On application, Bathory was extremely pigmented on my brush; I need to tap off the excess.  I used Bathory first and then added a bit of Coven closer to the top of my cheekbones.  Using a highlighter brush, I tapped on a bit of telepathy on the high points of my cheekbones.  I also used a foiling spray and taped a bit of telepathy on the inner corners of my eyes.  All 3 shades applied well and easily.  At the time of this posting, I have no

Brand : Charlotte Tilbury Product : Rock 'N' Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil Shade : Elizabeth Violet   - purple kohl CRUELTY FREE PARABEN FREE Binxcat's Musing:  I adore this brand but this product was a disappointment for me.  As you can see, it swatches nothing like the brand pics (or shade description).  There might be a very slight purple undertone to this, but my product is mostly a smoky brown.  The quality of the product, however, is great. Brand : Charlotte Tilbury Product : Stars In Your Eyes Eyeshadow Palette CRUELTY FREE Binxcat's Musing:  I was attracted by the concept and color stories of this palette.  The brand has broken the palette into four distinct "looks" - although of course you can use the palette as you please.  Each look contains a trio of coordinating shades that give you a base shade, a shade to enhance, and a shade to smudge/smoke out.  All of the shades in this palette swatched well (no primer).  The lightest shade appears light in my swatching because it is close to my natural skintone (not because it didn't swatch well).  All of the shades had good pigment.  I purchased this palette as an easy option for a grab and go perfect look that can be subtle or bold and also for travel.  I knew the shades had "been done before" but every shade is good and work well as laid out or for alternate looks that all work together; I wouldn't hesi

Brand : Urban Decay Cosmetics Collection : Naked Cherry Product : Highlight and Blush Palette CRUELTY FREE Binxcat's Musing:  Oh Urban Decay why did you do me like this?!  Ok, this palette contains a highlighter, blush, and iridescent topper.  The highlighter is a peachy gold shimmer and swatched well (1 swipe) even though in pan it felt dry and stiff to the touch.  The blush is a warm toned shade that was stiff and dry in pan.  The swatch above represents 3 swipes.  The iridescent topper is cool toned and was also dry and stiff in pan.  The swatch above is also 3 swipes. UPDATE:     I used the palette today. Apparently they just swatch terrible but....I used the UD blush brush to apply the blush shade and it was beautiful and pigmented - blended and built up well. I used a Wayne Goss highlighter brush for the highlighter and again, very nice. I ended up using a shadow brush and applied the topper in the inner corners of my eyes - also nice. Bra

Brand : Rogue Republic Cosmetics Product : Pressed Pigment Shade : Imperium CRUELTY FREE VEGAN Wet/Dry Lip Safe Binxcat's Musing:  Imperium is a beautiful duochrome shade.  It swatches (no primer) opaque in a single swipe and wears over primer all day.  Swatches here are done dry and as this is a wet/dry, you can get even more impact by using this with a damp brush! Brand Description:  IMPERIUM is a bold amethyst purple pigment with a glittery duotone effect, reflecting from pinkish red to indigo-blue. Brand : Charlotte Tilbury Product : Rock 'N' Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil Shade : Marlene Midnight - navy kohl CRUELTY FREE PARABEN FREE Binxcat's Musing: Since this liner is kohl, it has a smoky feel to it.  On swatching, it pulls more smoky than navy but on application over primer, I get more navy.  It is a lovely liner - it applies smoothly, without skipping or dragging, and on me wears all day without fading.  It does "set" a few seconds after application.
